An Update Regarding the “Stay Home, Work Safe” Order

Dear Metallic Products Employees, Customers and Vendors,

Harris County issued a “Stay Home, Work Safe” order which went into effect at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, and extends through Friday, April 3. In accordance with the order, and after review and interpretation by outside legal counsel, Metallic Products is considered an essential manufacturing company based on the outline provided by the National Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) and the order from Harris County. Our company falls under the sector of Critical Manufacturing due to the fact that our business exclusively deals with commercial construction.

Put plainly, we will continue normal business operations for the foreseeable future.

Further, Metallic Products will put plans in place to ensure the safety of our employees by maintaining social distancing during our normal operations. Specifically, Metallic Products has instituted the following protocols in order to uphold the highest standard of social distancing.

(Please note the first three items below were previously implemented.)

  1. All travel for employees has been eliminated.
  2. All in-person customer/vendor meetings have been canceled until further notice.
  3. All employees feeling ill or caring for ill family members at home are required to stay home.
  4. The company will institute mandatory temperature checks or all employees prior to beginning work. Employees who have a fever will be sent home.
  5. All internal meetings have been cut down to fewer than 10 people, with six feet of space between individuals.
  6. Restrictions on locations of breaks have been lifted so that employees can maintain six feet of distance or more between one another.
  7. All manufacturing activities will also comply with social distancing where possible. The vast majority of our daily manufacturing operations occur with at least six feet of space between employees.

We remain confident that the steps put into action to combat the COVID-19 virus will lead to a swifter and less severe conclusion for everyone involved.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and business during this stressful time. If you have any questions or comments, please contact our office at 713.856.9696.
